of Larry W. York
Mr. York is a certified public accountant and a partner in the firm of
York, Dillingham & Company, P.L.L.C. The partnership has its main
office in Columbia, Tennessee with satellite offices in Pulaski, Lawrenceburg
and Centerville.
Mr. York received a BA degree from The University of Tennessee in 1965
and an MBA degree from the University of Memphis in 1976. He has been
involved in the practice of public accounting since 1967, when he joined
the local firm of Alexander and Holmes of Dyersburg, Tennessee. In 1969
he joined the State of Tennessee Board of Regents to start a community
college in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He served as Business Manager from 1969
to 1977 which included start-up, construction, hiring of 80 employees,
designing an accounting system and preparing annual budgets and reports
to the State of Tennessee.
Mr. York has served as business advisor to many privately-owned businesses.
His experience includes assistance with taxation, financial statement,
forecasts, financial planning, succession planning, systems analysis and
valuations. These clients are found in healthcare, governmental, not-for-profit,
construction, manufacturing, real estate, transportation, retailing, wholesaling,
food service and numerous other industries.
Mr. York is active in community and church affairs. He is an active member
of the Chambers of Commerce in Maury, Lawrence, Hickman and Giles counties.
He has been treasurer and chairman of the budget committee of the Maury
County and Giles County Chambers of Commerce.
He taught accounting and banking courses for Columbia State Community
College from 1978 through 1993.
Mr. York resides in Columbia, Tennessee with his wife Ann. Their two
children are married with families of their own. |
